Food

Terry Black’s BBQ

The quintessential Austin BBQ experience. There can be long lines but the food is so worth it. Beef ribs, brisket, sausage, and don’t forget to get every side dish.

Veracruz All Natural

Located in the LINE Hotel, one of Austin’s best tacos. Get the migas taco and make sure to ask for corn tortillas!

El Alma

Excellent Mexican food, great margaritas, and a fun rooftop patio. Ariana and Joel had their first dinner date here!

Better Half Coffee & Cocktails

Super fun all day cafe -- get your morning coffee here and a biscuit to go with it.

Bouldin Creek Cafe

Delicious vegetarian food (good enough for meat eaters too). Very classic Austin hippie experience on South Congress.

Things Around Town

South Congress

A great shopping district, right down the street from the LINE hotel. Lots of small boutiques -- get your cowboy hat or boots here.

The White Horse

Old school honky-tonk with live music and line dancing. One of Joel and Ariana’s earlier dates was here.

Rainey Street

A street lined with bungalows that have been converted into bars. Great place to stop by and get a cocktail and wander around.

Nature

Lady Bird Lake Trail

Right next to the LINE hotel is Lady Bird Lake Trail, a beautiful riverside walking path that takes you around Austin along the river running through the city.

Barton Springs

The classic Austin experience. An outdoor swimming pool fed entirely by natural springs, with hills for sunbathing on both sides. Be ready for cold water — the temperature is about 68 degrees year round!

Mount Bonnell

A short hike straight uphill leading to beautiful views of the river and the hill country west of Austin. About a 15 minute Uber from downtown.
